The Story of Love Learning from Dogs, Told by Luna:

LunaThe first thing you need to know is that the beautiful face representing Love Learning from Dogs is mine. I will admit, however, that the idea was not mine.

I am part of a bigger team and Love Learning from Dogs is part of a social enterprise. Don’t worry, I didn’t know what that was either. It’s a business with a social mission. The business is Canine Perspective CIC and the mission is to train humans using the wisdom of dogs.

Sounds good, right?

The enterprise started because one of the humans wrote a book. It’s a book about a teenage rape survivor called Dani Moore, who recovers and rebuilds her life with the help of her rescue dog. That book became a trilogy and apparently, it’s quite popular. I haven’t read it, I’m a dog.

Anyway, the human went back to school to learn about all things dog and turned the messages from the book into a workshop called Canine Hope where rescue dogs go and teach survivors about recovery, resilience and trust. I’m told it’s a lot of fun and you can find out more about it here. Two really cool people helped the human prove that it works, there’s a report and everything. Again, I haven’t read it. I’m a dog.

It came as no surprise to me that the more time people spent with dogs, the happier they were. The lessons that my rescue dog friends were teaching helped them and I know that those lessons can help you too.

Love Learning from Dogs has been set up to share canine wisdom; my wisdom. I want you to have little reminders to brighten your day. Get involved! You can join #TeamLuna and you will get wisdom directly from me to start your week with a smile. By buying from us, you are helping Canine Hope reach many more people as our profits go directly to Canine Perspective CIC. You can drink your cuppa from your Luna mug and know that you have made a difference to a rescue dog and a survivor.

Thank you x
